Situated in the Southeastern part of France, Frejus contains a sizable Sephardic community under the devoted leadership of Rabbi Meir Altabi. The area recently gained popularity with many newcomers relocating to the area from across France, to benefit from the tranquil environment of this port city.
Sephardic Jews, even those barely religious, are known to be particularly stringent in the laws of family purity. They yearn to live a genuine Torah life and Mikvah Tahara were fortunate to play a vital role by initiating and supporting the establishment of a Mikvah.
The prospect of a Mikvah-under-construction has already inspired many families to commit to keeping the laws of family purity and one family in particular, who became lax after their move, now happily recommitted to using the Mikvah and living B’kedusha.
