Maisons-Alfort is located in the southeastern suburbs of Paris, France and is home to approximately 1000 Frum families. These families are mainly divided between two Kehillas. The current Rav, Rabbi Agagi, who is 94 years old, stepped down and his brother-in-law, Rabbi Dan Mimram, is becoming the new Rav.
They currently use the Mikvah in Crete, which was built over 30 years ago and is a 20 min drive. They generally have 5-6 Tevillos each Friday night (walking over) and around 25 Motzei Shabbos. Due to the increasing demand from many young people and Frum families, they’re in the process of building a new, exquisite Mikvah which will include 3 preparation rooms , a Kallah room, and a Keilim Mikvah, estimated to cost around 700k Euros.
During Shabbos, 150 people participate in the Davening. This past Yom Kippur, the attendance rose to 500. A few months ago, one of our representatives attended a beautiful Bar Mitzvah celebration in the community, where 200 people were present.
